In plain words
Because of such natures it has come to have many names. The body is like a bubble of water. At what moment this bubble will merge back into the water, who knows? But where did this bubble come from?
Born in the water, growing in the water, the bubble merges back into the water. Man is the bubble, Nārāyaṇa the water.
So when this bubble is born only of the water, this man too has sprung only from Nārāyaṇa. Only when we recognise this truth will we make the effort to nourish the body in the proper way, without neglecting it or treating it carelessly. Though it is an instrument, it too must have its proper limits and its proper fittings.
Every single thing in the world has certain rules. Na śreyo niyamaṃ vinā. This body too is bound by many rules. In our conduct, in our words and in our feelings, we must develop a certain purity. Humanness turns into demonic nature only when, instead of making them pure in this way, we set all the limbs we have been granted on an impure path. The whole of our life is a market place. The heat in our body is 98.4°F, but if this heat goes up to 99°F, it becomes illness. Our blood pressure too is 120/80. But if it goes to 90, our blood pressure too turns into illness. Our eye ball too can see only as much light as it can bear. When it looks at too much light, the retina will burn. Our ear drums too can hear only as much sound as they can bear. When it hears too loud a sound, the ear drum too will burst. So the whole of our body too is a Limited company. We must look after such a body. There must be some limit. There must be some limit to the food we take for it. There must be a limit to the water we drink. A limit in speaking. A limit in listening. The whole of our life is a limited thing. Only when it goes beyond the limit does it fall into danger. Overeating harms the mind.
