In plain words
The Heart Is a Tank, the Senses the Taps
God has granted human life only to hold out some ideal, not to pass the time in vain. But because sacred feelings are lacking in him, man is entering into unholy deeds. The human heart may be compared to a ‘tank’. When you fill the tank with purity, there is no way for impurity to come out of the taps. So, when you fill the heart with Prema, the hands do only sacred work; the eyes see only sacred sights. Human life is divine, it is noble, it is worth living. Each one must reflect for himself how far he is putting such a life to good use.
Man Is the Bubble, Nārāyaṇa the Water
There is no chance for bad feelings to arise in the heart. For the heart is the dwelling of God. That is why God has been called ‘the Dweller in the Heart’. Śrī Kṛṣṇa said, “Mamaivāṃśo jīvaloke jīvabhūtas sanātana.” All are nothing but parts of God.
Born in the water itself, grown in the water itself, merging back into the water: the water bubble; man is a bubble, Nārāyaṇa the water: this is the plain truth I tell you!
Man is the water bubble, Nārāyaṇa the water. It is from the water that the bubbles arise. In the same way, man is the one who has arisen from God. So he must fill himself with divine feelings alone. But you may ask where all the bad feelings that come to man are coming from. All these bad feelings take shape only through the experiences that come in physical, worldly and material life.
