Passage 12

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

That is, we are making it impure. How? We must release good sound into the air. Only then does that air spread everywhere and enter what we breathe as the breath of life. Instead, because we put bad sounds into the air and breathe that very air in, the same kind of bad feelings arise in us too. ‘Yadbhāvaṃ tadbhavati.’ A small example. We light a fire. What kind of fire have we lit? We have lit a bad fire. We are burning all sorts of bad things there. That is why the air goes out bad.

As the fire, so the smoke; as the smoke, so the cloud; as the cloud, so the rain; as the rain, so the crop; as the crop, so the cooking; as the cooking, so the feeling.

In this way all our feelings rest upon the food we eat.

Singing the Name of God turns the atmosphere holy

What is the inner meaning of the bidding to do nagarasaṅkīrtan, to do bhajans? Because when we remember the Name of God, the whole atmosphere fills with those vibrations and becomes beautifully pure. The whole world is filled with electric energy. This electric energy turns into waves. In the Kṛṣṇa Avatāra, Kṛṣṇa, staying in one place, gave darśan in the homes of many Gopīs. When it is said that one person gave darśan in many places at one time, our people say it is all a stunt. This is sheer Ajñāna! Those who say so are fools. For example, a programme is being broadcast from one place in Delhi. The Prime Minister is speaking there. As he speaks there, the whole world hears those words on the radio.
