Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Lacking the two eyes called faith, men on this earth have gone blind; if they themselves do not see Him, is God then not there? He may not be there for such a one, but is He not there for us!

Embodiments of Prema!

From time without beginning, some saying that God is and others that He is not, people have argued back and forth and wasted precious time. To one who has no eyes, the shining sun does not appear. To one who has closed his eyes, the world itself is not seen. For that alone, is the sun not there for them? Is the world not there? No, no. The sun is there. But there is no sight. The world is there, but he has closed his eyes. The truth becomes clear that this is a fault in our own sight and nothing else. Faith is man's chief life-breath. With no faith at all, no one can pass even a moment. Without faith, he cannot go even ten steps forward. Without faith, he cannot do even the smallest task. How can a man who cannot even make an effort achieve success? So, in this vast world, faith is of the first importance if even the smallest task is to be accomplished.

Not in the matter of God alone; in every field, faith is of the first importance. Everything rests on one's own faith, not on others. In this vast world, whatever task is to be accomplished, morally, physically, in worldly life or spiritually, it is only by faith that we are able to accomplish it. It is by this faith that we love everyone. Without the faith "This is my mother", a man cannot love even his mother. Without the faith "This is my wife", the husband cannot love her. Without the faith "This is my child", the mother cannot love the child. You experience this all-pervading principle of Prema through faith alone; without faith you can experience nothing.
