Passage 10

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

All the young people took a keen interest in this game of cricket. Many young people came from villages and towns to watch this game. So through games, songs and talk the hearts of men turn joyful.

Life is a game, play it Life is a dream, realise it Life is a love, enjoy it Life is a challenge, meet it.

You must try to face hardships of every kind. That is the true human heart. Such a sacred heart is seen only in human beings, not in other creatures. Man, who has such a sacred heart, forgets God's work, forgets the feeling for God, cultivates a craving for pleasure and longs for a happiness that does not last. You must strive to win happiness that is lasting and eternal. Whatever work you do, whatever job you hold, do it as God's work: that itself is japa, dhyāna, yoga. It is not that I am telling you to give up all your work.

Only when evil resolves go is there Śānti

By evil resolves one comes to sorrow; by true resolves one becomes a good man; only one free of every resolve attains Śānti: this is Śrī Sai's word, the path that makes Satya known.

Everyone wants Śānti, Śānti, Śānti. As long as all those evil resolves are within, Śānti does not come. Turn all your resolves into divine resolves. Only then will your life find its meaning. We need not lie in wait for time, nor wait upon it. Time itself will come running to you. Ordinary men go on living through things as time dictates. Great souls go on turning time to suit themselves. Time itself follows the good.
