Passage 9

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Why would one who is truly healthy come to the hospital? It is only when he lacks health that he comes to the hospital. In the same way, if divine Prema were in you, you would not come so far, would you? Because it is not there, you have come all this way. Since you have come, receive this Prema for God and take it with you. Fill your hearts and go. One who is ill cannot do without taking the medicine, whether he is at home or in hospital. Thinking, “I am in hospital, after all,” he still cannot do without the medicine; he must take it. In the same way, wherever you are, you cannot do without taking this medicine called Prema.

Be he in the forest or be he in the sky, be he in the town or in the village, be he on the hilltop or in midstream, in his heart he never forgets You, Sai.

Wherever you may be, do not forget Prema in your hearts. In whatever direction a compass stands, its needle points only to the north. In the same way, whatever the circumstances of a man's life, his gaze must always go toward God. Whatever work you do, believe it to be God's work. Whatever place you go to, believe it to be God's own place. Whoever you see, believe them to be the very form of God. When you enquire in that way, everything becomes full of God. All the sacred maharṣis of old won such fame through conduct of this kind. So all the boys and girls of today must develop such good feelings, enter society and strive to make the whole of society full of Prema. Whatever work you do, do it in a way that brings joy to all the people, and strive to share in their joy.

Be happy always

You know that on the 30th people came from the four corners of the world to the stadium to play cricket. All of them resolved to play fairly, well, purely and joyfully. Every one of them played with discipline. They shared joy not only among those who played but with those who watched too.
