In plain words

So every person born in the land of Bhārata must develop sacrifice and the spiritual principle in himself. He must hold firmly that service itself is his duty. Service is God. You must see God through service.

Many people ask, “Where is God?” What answer must you give such people?

“That He is here and not there, have no such doubt; the Wielder of the Discus is everywhere; wherever you search for Him, there He is ……”

So you must answer them, boldly. For those who say God is not, He is not; for those who say He is, He is.

To those who say ‘no’, He says ‘no’; to those who say ‘yes’, He says ‘yes’; ‘no’ and ‘yes’ belong only to your mouths; for Sai, all is ‘yes, yes, yes’.

What is the answer you must give those who argue that God does not exist? “Sir, your God may not be there for you. But my God is there for me. You have no right to say that my God does not exist”: with these words you must set them right. In no circumstances whatever must you give room to unbelief. With courage and daring you must take the vow to uphold the Dharma of society and the ancient culture. God made three vows: “Sambhavāmi yuge yuge” (to establish Dharma, I take birth in every age); “Yogakṣemaṃ vahāmyaham” (I look after the welfare of those who worship Me with undivided Bhakti); and “Mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ” (I grant Mokṣa to those who take refuge in Me). You, who are the children of God, must make three vows too: the first, that you will hold unshaken faith that God is; the second, that you will be able to see God; the third, that you will become one with God.
