Whether one calls it Consciousness, or calls it the knower of the field, or calls it Jñāna, or calls it Ahaṅkāra, or calls it Īśvara, or, on this earth, Viṣṇu, or calls it Brahman, or the Primal Śakti, or calls it Ānanda, or the Supreme State, or calls it Prakṛti: the Ātma has many names.
