In plain words

Think of a lamp set burning inside a pot pierced through with many holes: his Jñāna is like that light, pulsing outward through every doorway of the karaṇas, beginning with the eye, each time saying ‘I know.’ He shines first, on his own; only then does the whole world shine, after him. To him, the very form the Guru takes, I offer this bow — to Śrī Dakṣiṇāmūrti.

Whose Jñāna — radiant with the light of a great lamp set inside a pot pierced with many holes — indeed pulses outward through the doorways of the karaṇas beginning with the eye as “I know”; this entire world shines after him alone as he shines — to him, to the revered form of the Guru, this bow, to Śrī Dakṣiṇāmūrti.
