In plain words
To teach the way that brings peace to the world, to put an end to every narrow feeling, unity, and in living together and all such things, to teach equal-mindedness: is that not true learning?
Learning has grown many-sided; desires have run past all limits; a hero in speech, a zero at work. What is the gain that comes from cleverness? Practise at least a little of it!
Bhārata has won freedom but has not been able to win unity
If the family is to prosper, if the village is to go forward, if the country is to be green with crops, unity and fellowship among people are most necessary. In this world there is nothing greater than the strength of union. That is why it was said, ‘Saṅghe śakti kalau yuge’. Today it is because the strength of union and unity have declined in the country that the country has had to face so many troubles. If we once look deeply into the history and the sacred culture of Bhārata, we are able to recognise a meaning within it that is so divine, so new and so splendid. In Bhārata there has been no lack of the wealthy, the strong, men of intellect, scientists or the educated.
