In plain words
They are only worldly ties and kinships! They are only the marks of pravṛtti! But Ānanda lies in nivṛtti alone. The more we keep our desires under control, the more we increase our Ānanda. When man longs for God, we must develop a Prema that is pure, steady and selfless. In the state of sleep this whole scene of Prakṛti disappears of itself. Without any effort Prakṛti becomes a void to us. But we must make the Manas a void by deliberate effort. We must forget the very nature of the Manas. When does the Manas gain strength? It gains strength through saṅkalpas and vikalpas. Why these saṅkalpas and vikalpas? What has to happen will happen. There is no use at all in worrying.
However you nourish and guard the body, it will not fail to go; loss and gain will not fail to come, though you hide in a great forest.
What has to happen will happen. But we must believe wholly, with an unchanging feeling, in the true divinity. God is full. To attain God, who is fullness itself, you too must become embodiments of fullness.
We must show the divinity in humanness
That is full, this is full; from the full the full comes forth. Taking the full from the full, the full alone remains.
That is full, and this is full. The oneness of these two fullnesses is our life. What does life mean? No man understands. People think that passing one's life with food, sleep, fear, mating and the rest is a life. No, no. We must show the divinity in humanness. From animality came humanness. From humanness we must reach divinity. ‘Jantūnāṃ narajanma durlabhaṃ.’
