Passage 7

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Today the pūrṇāhuti of the Veda Puruṣa Saptāha Jñāna Yajña took place. What does pūrṇāhuti mean? Nothing but complete sacrifice! But Mine is always perfect sacrifice! There is no such thing as “I have done it now; tomorrow there is none.” Those who can understand will surely know this.

That is full, this is full; from the full the full arises. Taking the full from the full, the full alone remains.

Children! You are still small buds. So you will not understand so much now. As you grow up a little, step by step Swami's words will become clear to you. Until then, live calmly and in silence.

Do not use cell phones too much!

Another thing: today every child keeps a small phone. He thinks, “I keep this for my own convenience,” but it turns to misuse in so many ways. Not only that, through these, bad feelings of certain kinds are arising in women and in men too. Not only bad thoughts, but bad connections too are being formed. As it was said, “Manayeva manuṣyāṇāṃ kāraṇaṃ bandhamokṣayoḥ”, our mind alone is the cause of bondage and of liberation. So, that bad thoughts may not come into our minds, we must not make a ‘connection’ with anyone needlessly. But we give our number even to outsiders. What happens because of that? Many kinds of ‘connections’ form. Girls wait for boys, wondering, “If I call this number, will that boy answer or not?” In the same way, boys wait for girls. So do not use these phones too much. Right now it may well seem good. But little by little it brings many troubles. I am 83 years old. To this day I have not kept phones.
