Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Brahman is the form of Prema; Brahman is full of Prema; it is the rule that Prema joins with Prema; so the one who holds Prema in full becomes worthy to attain the One without a second. Mokṣa is not in a flower of the sky, not in the nether world, not on the earth; the destruction of the knot of Ajñāna in the heart is Mokṣa, says the Śruti.

Embodiments of Prema!

Mokṣa does not drop down from the sky. It does not spring up out of the nether world. It is not to be had on the earth. Only when we drive Ajñāna far from us does this sacred mohakṣaya come to us. ‘Jantūnāṃ narajanma durlabham.’ Human birth is a very exalted thing. It is noble. It is virtuous. This human birth is a birth received by gathering up the fruit of merit from many births. With how many penances performed, how many prayers offered, how many hardships endured, bearing up and pushing on, has this human life made its way forward! Today, instead of making it worthwhile, people are making futile this human birth that has come to fruit after so much toil.

Nivṛtti is man's natural trait

What is the greatness of this human birth? What is its aim? What is its goal? For what purpose have we taken human birth? Every human being needs to recognise this truth. But unfortunately, even though human birth has been given to us, we cannot put it to good use at this sacred moment.
