In plain words
‘Sarvataḥ pāṇi pādaṃ ....’
From ancient times many people have gone on practising many sādhanas, wishing to recognize the principle of Kṛṣṇa. But none of those sādhanas bore fruit. Where is Kṛṣṇa? Where is God? He is in you yourself. What a fool is the one who cannot recognize the Satya that Divinity is within him and all around him! If you go into the bazaar and ask, “Sir! Have you seen me anywhere?”, what will they think? They will think you have gone mad. In the same way, the Divinity you are searching for is in you yourself. Only when you turn your sight inward does this sacred principle become known. But you look only with outward sight. That is why the Divinity that lies hidden in all things does not appear to you. Once Kṛṣṇa said to Arjuna, “My dear! I am yours, and you are Mine. I am you, and you yourself are I.” Without feeling this oneness, you nurture multiplicity and go searching for Divinity. The boy who spoke just before this said that he had done a great deal of sādhana to see God. To see God, there is no need to go anywhere. There is no need to do any sādhana at all.
Everywhere It has hands and feet, everywhere eyes, heads and faces; everywhere in the world It has ears; It stands enveloping all.
When He Himself is all things, whom is there left to search for? Whatever you see, all of it is the form of God itself! There is no place that is without God. There is no form that is not God.
Brahman is Prema in form, made all of Prema; to join Prema with Prema is the discipline; so one who holds fast to Prema becomes worthy to attain the One without a second.
So you must develop Prema. There is no need whatever to search for God. You are God Himself. You are Satya itself. Why go searching for such Satya? Thinking that God is apart from him, man today falls into a kind of crazed misconception.
