In plain words
Prema for God is the most important Prema of all. Since we have come into the world in the body, there are bodily kinds of Prema. Those called mother, father, brother, sister arose with the body. All these come in the middle and go in the middle. All these are passing clouds. What came from God is permanent. The more we develop that Prema, the more it grows. What do we gain by developing Prema? That is Ānanda. The more you develop Prema, the more Ānanda too grows. The narrower Prema becomes, the narrower your Ānanda too will be. If we wish to experience Ānanda always, we must foster Prema.
Brahman is the form of Prema, Brahman is full of Prema; it is the rule that Prema joins with Prema; so one who holds Prema firmly becomes worthy to attain the One without a second.
That is the One without a second. If you foster Prema, you become one who has faith in the oneness of the Ātma. That is what is present everywhere. We must attain it. You may learn the kinds of learning that belong to the world. All these are things to use in the world, for the moment. These are vyāvahārika kinds of learning. In pāramārthika learning, Prema is the chief life-breath. Foster Prema. Only when we develop kindness and Prema in us do we become Puruṣottamas.
