Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Brahman is of the form of Prema, all Prema; to join Prema to Prema becomes the discipline; so hold to Prema firmly, and show unity, O children!

Dear students! Girl students! Human birth is a sacred thing. Why? Because ‘Daivaṃ mānuṣarūpeṇa’. God takes on human form. You must not think of God as someone with some special form set apart. God is not apart from man; He dwells in man himself, as the Ātma. The power that drives the human body, made of the five elements, has been called ‘Ātma’. ‘What is the Ātma? What is its nature?’ many people ask. The Ātma principle is beyond form and name. Outward shape alone does not prove humanness. Humanness rests on conduct. In the same way, a man does not earn the name of an educated person merely by gaining an acquaintance with books. Acquaintance with books is negative education. True education has another name. That is ‘Educare’. Only one who pursues such education is a true student.

‘Education’ - ‘Educare’

‘Education’ is one thing, ‘Educare’ another. ‘Education’ gives ‘information’. ‘Educare’ brings about ‘transformation’.
