In plain words
If all the women go off to do jobs, who are the housewives to see to the tasks of the house? If husband and wife both go off to offices, who are the women to do the work of the home? If they go to schools to teach other people's children, who are the mothers to teach their own children? If they take up books and go off like men, who are the women to keep the kitchen in order? The hardship that comes from want of money may be settled, but how great the wants inside the home will be! Look for happiness, and it is nothing but a zero for the woman who holds a post in a job, always.
Embodiments of the divine Ātma!
The sages of old went on regarding life as a feeling of sweetness. When this very feeling of sweetness becomes empty in man, life seems like darkness. This sweetness does not arise in man from selfishness or from self-interest. Only through tyāga, divine and noble, does this sweetness grow in man. In this world or in the next, in the natural or in what is beyond nature, this divine sweetness alone goes on protecting man.
