In plain words
The fear of sin is gone; misdeeds have become the way of things on earth; Bhakti for Śrīpati is gone; dreadful deeds beyond telling have befallen the world. Of that refuge of the world of ascetics, of Śrīpati, only the contemplation of the Name brings happiness, O man!
When the women all go off to do jobs, who are the housewives to finish the household tasks? When husband and wife both go off to the offices, who are the women to do the work of the home? When they go to the schools to teach other people's boys, who are the mothers to teach their own boys? When they take up books and go off like the men, who are the women to keep the kitchen in order? Though the trouble of having no money is over, how great the wants within the home! Look for happiness, and it is nothing but a zero, ever, for the woman who sits in a salaried post.
Embodiments of Prema!
My intention is not that women should not study. Study they must! Jobs they must do! But they must give meaning to the divine title that woman bears. Woman's very first title is ‘Gṛhalakṣmī’.
