In plain words
The air in the balloon grew too much, and it burst. While it was in this balloon, they called it conscience. After it burst, it joined the consciousness. The conscience merged in consciousness. That itself is nirvāṇa. That itself is sāyujya. That itself is sākṣātkāra. This little air merged in the boundless air. Some day or other the merging cannot be escaped. That is why, if there is to be such a merging, in a life like this you must bring all your duties, to some extent, into samyak dṛṣṭi.
When Vision Becomes Pure, Creation Becomes Pure
Students! You have come to Swami with great hope. That feeling must be in your hearts. Study whatever you like, do whatever work you like. Do it with the feeling that it is God's work. All is God's work and nothing else whatever. You are looking at this (a handkerchief): it is not cloth. Bundle of threads, this is cotton. Cotton, thread and cloth are same. Are they not one! You think that what you saw is cloth. No, the threads all come out of that cloth. If you enquire well: The one you think you are is cotton. The one others think you are is thread and the one you really are, that is cloth. It is only through the oneness of them all that this has become cloth. Within this very cloth the thread and the cotton are merged. In the same way:
You alone are mother and father, You alone; You alone are kinsman and friend, You alone; You alone are learning and wealth, You alone; You alone are my all, O God of gods.
All is God alone. Mother is God, father is God. The guru is God. Learning is God. All is God. When you go on with that feeling, you too turn into God. So, when vision becomes pure, creation becomes pure. We need not study the śāstras. Without eyes, what work does a śāstra do? This field is the śāstra. Vision itself is creation. Your word itself is the Veda.
