In plain words
Divinity has been described as ‘Satyam, Śivam, Sundaram’. What you have seen, heard and done, all three, you must offer to God.
Three-leaved, shaped like the three guṇas, three-eyed and three-weaponed, destroyer of the sins of three births: one bilva leaf offered to Śiva.
Today everyone, through some delusions and confusions, goes on doing pūjās and sādhanas each in whatever way occurs to him. You must not let go the hold you have taken. You must keep your sight one alone; your hearing must be one alone; your action must be one alone. The Bhagavad Gītā teaches, “Karmaṇyevādhikāraste mā phaleṣu kadācana...”. Our right is only to the doing of action. Whatever you do, you must do it to please God. Then no faults whatever will cling to us. To experience the principle of the Ātma there is no easier path than this. Today it is because each follows a special path of his own, as it occurs to him, that many troubles come. It is through such confusions that Confusion arises. Because of it the Fuse goes! That is, the connection between God and you is cut. All are embodiments of God! If you want to recognise this principle, you must enter from humanness into divinity. That is ‘Sat’. If you recognise it, the truth that all are one becomes clear. You must not give room to feelings of difference by looking at forms. You must join God and experience Ānanda. God is your true property. Hold to the oneness that all are in God. Put feelings of difference far from you.
Do not lean on forms and names
Students! At this age many kinds of feelings of difference arise in you. You may go on with your studies. They are what must go on outwardly. But in your mind you must fix your sight on oneness. Whether you say Allah or Jesus, Rāma or Kṛṣṇa... you must recognise the truth that the names differ, but divinity is one. You must do the sādhana that makes this principle known.
