Passage 7

In plain words

Man is deceived precisely because he develops a worldly outlook. So man must first of all change his outlook. He must change it himself; it is not for God to change. God keeps everything in His creation pure and clean. But man himself changes them deliberately. His own mind does all this. When the mind dissolves, everything is seen clearly. Embodiments of Prema! You are very pure of heart. But the ‘clouds’ called desires come and gather, and delude you. When clouds cover them, the sun and the moon are hidden. In the same way, you cannot see your true nature only because the clouds of desire stand in the way.

In childhood, mixing with many, he is one with games and songs; when youth blossoms, like the god of the flower-bow, he wanders about, enamoured of women; in middle age, sunk in the things of this world, he clings to amassing wealth; when old age comes, not thinking of Murahari, he pines that this and that are lacking; unable to let go of his many vices, with no interest in seeking the path of Bhakti, he falls into the mire of karma and wanders there: man mixes his birth with the dust.

However much he experiences in life, man cannot experience Śānti till the end. After childhood comes youth, and after youth, old age. Age changes, but the mind does not. Instead of trying to change creation, man must change his own outlook. Changing creation is beyond anyone. That is God's creation. In this creation, anything comes about by God's will.
