In plain words
Together, in harmony, let us move about; together, in harmony, let us grow! Together, in harmony, let us increase wealth and friendship, strength and virtue! Together, in harmony, let us nourish the understanding we have gained! Together, in harmony, let us live as friends, in plenty!
See how great this feeling is! Is it there today, among the people of Bhārata? If it is there, Bhārata will be like a lighthouse to all the other countries. The advantages Bhārata has, the culture that is in Bhārata, the saṃskāra that is in Bhārata, are in no other land. That is precisely why they said, ‘Enna bhārate tanna bhārata.’ How sacred Bhārata is! Just because people today have forgotten the divinity of so sacred a Bhārata and strive for their own selfishness and their own ends, the country has had to suffer so many kinds of hardship, loss and sorrow.
Embodiments of Prema! When we carry out any work with forbearance, understanding one another rightly, there is not a single thing in Bhārata that we cannot achieve. We can do anything. Forbearance is needed! And the cooperation it calls for must be there too! But today none of these is there. If one says yes, another says no. If someone else says yes, yet another says no. In truth, does the heart have these noes and yeses? No. If someone does something good and another turns against it saying no, what is the use? Tell Me. We must enquire whether it is good or bad. All must live together in harmony. The power and divine strength of Bhārata are immense! But we are not trying to know it. Today we say we want experience for everything. To believe anything at all, we want experience. People say they will believe only after they have had the experience. Is this not a mad thing to do! What a foolish thing to say! If you say, ‘I will not get into the water until I know how to swim,’ how will you ever learn to swim? You must get into the water and learn to swim.
