In plain words
Nothing at all stood in the way of our programme. Far from standing in the way, they have been helping. Today, between 7 and 8 o'clock in the morning, would it have been possible for these people to sit here? No. Just as if an umbrella had been held over us, it gave a calm atmosphere. Within the principle of God there are so many meanings.
'Sahanāvavatu - sahanau bhunaktu sahavīryaṃ karavāvahai.
The Veda said it long ago. My dear!
Together let us go about, together let us grow, together let us grow wealth, friendship, strength and virtue, together let us light up the understanding we have learnt, together let us live in friendship in prosperity.
How much joy we can experience when we live together as one! So unity alone is strength. Practising it is itself our joy. So we must develop unity. If we want unity, we must develop the feeling of the one Ātma.
Embodiments of the divine Ātma! Today our gathering has reached its fullness. It is not enough just to be here. Wherever you go, these sacred feelings must keep following your citta, just as a shadow follows your body. We must not be content with this much alone. You must bring in your friends and your kin and be of use so that the programme of service becomes worthwhile. No one at all need be afraid. Whoever we are, we need not feel ashamed in any matter of service. You must put fear and shame aside. You must enter the programmes of service with the firm faith, "The work I do is sacred work." As long as there is the self-regard that fears someone may think, "What is this, he is sweeping the roads!", we cannot enter service at all. In this service there is no difference of good and bad. Wherever, whenever, in whatever way and to whomever you have to serve, you must render that service without fail. In our Sathya Sai Organisations above all, there are lakhs of such sacred servers. That is why we have been able to hold so sacred and great a gathering.
In the world there are many great people who give grand lectures. There are many great people who bring intellectual power into their words.
