In plain words

She who brought back to life her husband whose life had gone: Sāvitrī: was she not a wife of Bhārata? She who by the power of her truth put out the forest fire: Candramatī: is hers not a holy story? She who leapt into the fire-pit for her chastity as a wife of noble family: Sītā: was she not a daughter born of the earth of Bhārata? She who in her anger burned the arrogant hunter to ash: Damayantī: was she not a woman of Bhārata? This face of the earth, ringed by the seven seas, is made spotless by the wifely faith of the race of Bharata; it is a great harvest-field for the riches of feeling; is it not the teacher of all the lands!

Gāyatrī is the very Mother of the Vedas

Embodiments of Prema!

From time without end, Bhārata has been protected by what is called the holy power of woman in Bhārata. The Vedas, the sacred word of the people of Bhārata, are nothing but Gāyatrī's children. ‘Gāyatrīṃ chandasāṃ mātā’: Gāyatrī is the mother of the Vedas. Gāyatrī is a power that pervades everywhere. Not only in Bhārata but in other countries too, this power goes on shining as the all-pervading, as the indweller of all, as the inner Ātma of all beings. In various countries people gave this Gāyatrī various names, and the people of each country prayed by those names and went on receiving the grace of that country. The people of Bhārata went on worshipping this Gāyatrī by many names and in many forms, rejoicing, and making their lives fruitful.
