In plain words
Wonderful, and for the three worlds purifying, sickles to the creeper of worldly life, true friends, to the forest of the sages the springtime: such are the deeds of Lord Viṣṇu.
Brahmā admitted his defeat, brought back the cowherd boys and cows he had hidden, and handed them over. At once the cows and cowherd boys Kṛṣṇa had created vanished. In this way, from His very childhood, Kṛṣṇa went on showing many marvellous līlās.
I am telling you of one small marvel that happened in this Avatāra. Until now I have not told it to anyone. After this Praśānti Mandiram was built, I used to take My meals in the room on the right on the upper floor. At that time Gṛham Ammāyi (Mother Easwaramma) would come there: “Swami! You are not eating properly, and You are growing thin. Eat well,” she would insist. “Do I have to fight a war with someone? Must I grow fat? Ugh, no. I don't like it,” I would say. One day someone invited Me to their house. What for? To poison Me and kill Me. Seeing My name and fame growing day by day, they were filled with envy. By the time I came back from there, My body had turned blue, and foam began to come from My mouth. To Easwaramma: “Wave your hand,” I said. When she waved her hand, vibhūti came. “When Swami waves His hand vibhūti comes, but how did vibhūti come when I waved mine?” she wondered in astonishment. For that short while I Myself gave her that power. She mixed that vibhūti in water and gave it to Me to drink. At once the effect of the poison was gone.
Karaṇam Subbamma's Bhakti and Faith
Earlier, when I was in the old Mandiram, we would go to the Citrāvatī every day.
