In plain words
Why should I become a stranger? Why should I become poor? I am not poor at all. I am exceedingly rich. Kṛṣṇa! If You alone are there, I have no need of this world. You must stay as You. I must stay as I. The intimate bond between the two of us is Prema. It is like this: just as the bulb goes on shining when a wire runs to it from the current, so too, between You and me there must be this wire called Prema. This, though, can never be broken. Who is the cause of all this creation? You alone are the cause. There is no other apart from You. You alone are the painter. You alone are the poetry.
The stories of Lord Viṣṇu are wonderful, purifying the three worlds; they are sickles to the creeper of worldly life, true friends; to the forest that is the company of sages they are the spring.
So he said. How wonderful are the pictures of God! In our Bhārata-deśa alone there are now 80 crore people. Among these 80 crore people, is there one who is as another is? There is not. There is a great deal of difference. Who created so many kinds of difference? Can any scientist create them? Even when twins come as two, there is some little difference between them, if only in the teeth. A difference, if only in the eyes. The painter who created so many kinds of differences is none other than God.
For the tree born on the mountain top, who built a basin and gave it water?
For the tree born on a rock in the hills, did anyone make a basin there, channel water to it, put manure and raise it? No one raised it. You alone must have made even that tree born on the rock grow.
Who painted the peacock's plumes? Who set the red on the coral creeper?
Who put the red beak on the green parrot? How well it matches! There is the peacock. How shining and beautiful are the colours of this peacock! Who put on these colours? It is Your creation alone. Today if you put paint on anything, it looks artificial at once. All of God's creation is natural. Natural. This is not possible for anyone else.
For the creature born in the rock that cries out, who made its food there and gave it?
