In plain words
What is this body? As badly as a rotten onion stinks, so badly does this body stink. Within it, a basket of diseases. Wherever you look, the bones are like a quiver of arrows. What is special in this body?
What is special in the body is the indweller alone!
What is special in this body is one thing only, and that is the indweller! That itself protects everything. It nourishes the bones. It gives strength to the muscles. It purifies the blood. Truly, it is most wonderful. This is God's creation. How wondrous it is!
Wondrous, and for the three worlds hallowing; sickles for the creeper of birth; true friends; for the forest of the sages the spring: such are the stories of Lord Viṣṇu.
Is any man trying to know a divinity so wondrous, so holy? You are playing a game, holding on to a leather bag with nine holes. That is just why all the great ones of old kept saying, ‘Take care, take care.’ This body is ‘Tai tai tai tai, a puppet! Look at its antics, man, a leather puppet.’ What are these antics? The eyes grow dim. Wrinkles form on the forehead. The teeth fall out. The hair turns grey. Who is the cause of all this? What is the cause? This body is filled with diseases! But we must turn these diseases into good diseases. What kind of disease? We must try to bring on the disease that turns us towards God.
To God all are equal!
God shows His grace abundantly to some. To some He is as if He showed it and did not. To some He seems not to show it at all. But that is only your delusion, and nothing else.
