In plain words
In it certain kinds of forces gather in excess and cause great danger. Everything must have a limit. In the language of Vedānta this is "Na śreyo niyamaṃ vinā." So it has been said. There is all the opportunity one needs to put the power that comes from hydrogen to good use. But how far is hydrogen being used today? Let us take an example. Suppose there are three thousand units. Of these, what is of use to the whole world is only one unit. The other 2999 units all go to waste. If all this were put to good use, the country could advance greatly. The way to use it is not being thought out well. The reason is that these people have no broad heart. Selfishness. They have been using it only that far. "What should we invent so that our life rises to a higher state? What should we invent to win what position? What honour can we receive? How much salary can we get?": this is how their thinking goes; but "How much use will this progress be to the country?" that broad feeling does not come.
Let us take a small example of this science and the spiritual. Spirit of Love is spirituality. Split of Love is science. Science is cutting this Prema to pieces. But the spiritual keeps Prema growing. So if this science develops the Spirit of Love, any amount of Ānanda can be gained. Today we do not recognise the principle of Prema well. We do not understand it. For life, everything is needed. Hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon: whichever of these is missing, our life wastes away. Inside our body, wherever you look, even in the tiniest part, there are blood cells. Whatever power there is in each blood cell, that same power is in all the blood cells. Not only that: in one cell your whole form is present. That same form is in all the cells. It is not that one cell has an ear, another a nose, another a mouth. Just as mouth, nose, legs and hands are all joined in one cell, so in all the cells too these limbs are all there. This is the secret of creation. No one at all can grasp it fully. They cannot discover it.
The stories of Lord Viṣṇu are wonderful, purifying the three worlds; they are sickles to the creeper of worldly life, true friends; to the forest that is the company of sages they are the spring.
