In plain words
We must picture this feeling in our hearts. We must believe it completely. The principle of Gaṇapati holds a very great meaning. His very form is most wonderful. That is why he said in the Bhāgavata:
Wonderful, and for the three worlds purifying; sickles for the creeper of worldly existence; true friends; for the groves of the sages the springtime: such are the stories of the Lord Viṣṇu.
The stories of God are most wonderful. In that very wonder all His stories are held. Nowhere is there a single word or a single step that is without meaning. Whatever God says is full of meaning, every time. It always holds a sacred meaning. Sāīnāth said. As someone was going, I said, “Wait.” Swami said, “Wait.” But he had no patience even for that wait; he took a ticket and went away. But when he got there, he waited for months. However much he waited, it bore no fruit. He came back. ‘Sir! Why did you go when I told you not to?’ I said. There is an inner meaning in everything. But some people follow it foolishly. Now, some people are sitting here. I walk along between them. They ask for something: “Swami, I want this, I want that,” they ask. “Wait, wait, sitdown,” I say. They think that Swami has said they must sit here and wait. Even when everyone has gone, he sits on. When I happen to get up, I say, “Sit down.” Don't be in a hurry. “Wait,” I say. They take that meaning another way, and even after everyone has gone they go on sitting. All these are foolish meanings. You must know those meanings by keeping in view the time and the occasion. You must keep in view the force of the place, the time and the circumstances. All believers worship Vināyaka in many ways. How?
