Embodiments of Prema!

The world is full of things wondrous and strange.

Wondrous, hallowing the three worlds, sickles to the creeper of birth, good friends, and to the grove of the sages the springtime: such are the stories of Lord Viṣṇu.

In the world it is very hard to decide what is wondrous and what is strange. If the family is to live in peace, if the home is to prosper day by day, if the country is to flourish green with crops, unity is essential for it. Where unity itself is lacking, room opens for evils, and the whole world falls into unrest. Śānti gives all human beings happiness, joy and oneness. Disunity gives discontent. It brings unrest. It makes one forget the immeasurable divinity.

For man, the embodiment of Śānti, to seek Śānti again is ignorance

Śānti is not somewhere out there. Our own true forms are themselves forms of Śānti. “Sarvarūpadharaṃ śāntaṃ.” The true form of every human being is itself a form of Śānti. “Sarvanāmadharaṃ śivaṃ.” All names alike are auspicious. “Saccidānandam advaitaṃ satyaṃ śivaṃ sundaraṃ.” Such sacred feelings are not to be seen in humanity today. Say that Śānti is our very form, and no one believes it. Then can you say where Śānti is? People search the whole world for Śānti.
