Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

While, knowing no learning of any kind in the world, the races of birds and the beasts, taking up the highest rule of life, have learnt to live by it, has man, who has intelligence, no sense?

In the universe the Lord shines forth; in the Lord the universe shines; the bond of the universe and the Lord cannot be broken: this word of Sai is a word that tells the truth.

Embodiments of Prema! The Rāmāyaṇa is the Veda itself, descended from heaven to earth. In the Veda there are four parts: the Ṛgveda, the Yajurveda, the Sāmaveda and the Atharvaṇa Veda. The Ṛgveda is what helps, nourishes and protects the rites of yajña, yāga and the like. The Yajurveda is made up of the mantras that belong to the rites of yajña, yāga and the like. So in the Rāmāyaṇa Rāma is the embodiment of the Ṛgveda, and Lakṣmaṇa the embodiment of the Yajurveda. While Rāma was in the forest, Bharata left Ayodhyā, built himself a hut of leaves in Nandigrāma and kept singing the Name of Rāma without a break. So he is the embodiment of the Sāmaveda. The one who was born to destroy the enemies and to protect friends and holy people is Śatrughna. So he is the embodiment of the Atharvaṇa Veda.
