In plain words

Embodiments of Prema!

There is no place without God, and no form that is not God; there is nothing else.

Be he in the forest or in the sky, in the town or in the village, on the hilltop or in midstream, in his heart he never forgets You, Sai.

Man today performs many kinds of sādhana for the sake of knowing the Ātma. But this is not Jñāna. It may rather be called ignorance. However many books he reads, however many kinds of sādhana he performs, however many people's qualities he draws to himself, one who in the end cannot recognise himself cannot gain this Jñāna. How can man today, who cannot recognise the humanness within himself, recognise God? Only when one first recognises the humanness within oneself does one become fit to recognise divinity as well. Longing to gain such knowledge of the Ātma, the Buddha went on performing many kinds of sādhana. He read all the books on knowledge of the Ātma there were in the world. He visited all the great souls. He made all the pilgrimages, but in the end he did not gain the least satisfaction. What is the reason for this? All these outward, worldly sādhanas, which belong to Prakṛti, are merely joined to a negative. So we must set the five senses granted to man on the sacred path. If we misuse these five senses God has granted, set them on the evil path and then want God, how will He be attained?
