Passage 3

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

the body made of the five elements is frail; when it will be left, no one knows; they have set its limit at a hundred years, but do not trust that word in your heart; in childhood, or in the prime of youth, or in old age, or in extreme old age, in a village, in a forest, or in the midst of water, where it will be left, no one knows; death is certain for man; while the body is there, to become wise and to know oneself is the principle of Dharma, consider it: this is the true path, the word of Śrī Sāī!

Man has taken on a body in order to know himself. To try to know some worldly matters or other without knowing that is madness. Only the one who knows himself becomes the one who knows all. Embodiments of Prema! Whatever objects there are in this world, from the atom to the immense, all of them are within you. Mountains, towns, villages, oceans, all the hosts of living beings... All of them are in your very heart. Forgetting the original that is within you, you look at the reflection seen outside and mistake it for the true and the eternal. What madness this is!

Where Satya and Dharma are, there Śānti abounds

First of all, we must know the human values. The first of them is Satya. For every country and every age, Satya is one. Satya is that which does not change. There are no distinctions such as: this is American Satya, this is British Satya, this is Pakistani Satya.
