In plain words

Our children never fall into any kind of bad habit, bad company or misconduct. “Sir! Are you vegetarian? Non-vegetarian?” When our children were asked this, they answered, “We touch nothing but vegetables.” Some other children, after joining this college, have taken to vegetarian food and given up meat altogether. Someone put a question to one boy: “My boy! Meat has every kind of vitamin. What is wrong if you eat meat along with your vegetarian food?” Then the boy said, “I have no need of those vitamins. For me, tattva-jñāna is what matters most. That true and eternal learning is what I must study. After we leave the Institute, we must spread that learning in the world,” he said. In this way there are many students of firm faith. They are winning great fame for our institution.

From waking until you sleep again, for your belly's sake you spend beyond all limit and reckoning; your life and your learning you pour away; forgetting the lotus-petal-eyed Lord, what great happiness have you gained? Ponder it gladly, O man!

In the old days, teachers taught children fine discipline and good habits.

As soon as the cock crows ‘cock-a-doodle-doo’, rise briskly from your bed of sleep; brush your teeth, answer the body's needs, bathe, put on your clothes, and eat your cold rice; chewing well whatever food is good for you, eat in moderation, and it will do you good; go to school and learn your lessons with care, and be known as a modest boy; never go wandering in the damp; never go near dirty puddles; running, kabaḍḍī and ball games, keep them up at the proper times; if you keep to the ways above, you will enjoy the blessing of health.
