In plain words
Ask anyone to sing a song or do a piece of work, and they bargain, ‘How much will you give?’ Today everything has turned into business; in the end people are trying to turn even Bhakti into a trade. There is no need to buy God with money. You yourself are God. Within you alone is the principle of God. Strength and ability that are not in you exist nowhere else. Keep your mind steady and pure. Do not let it jump this way and that. If your mind is good, everything that happens to you will be nothing but good. If there are bad feelings in the mind, the result too will be just as bad. Do good, be good, see good. We must be good. We must walk on the right path. Do not believe the words of worldly people and go off on the wrong road. Follow your own heart. If your heart is pure, everything in your life becomes pure.
Forget the form; make the feeling of God firm!
We need not travel far to go to God.
With hands and feet on every side, with eyes and heads and faces on every side, with ears on every side in the world, It abides, enveloping all.
Wherever you look, God alone is there! There is no place that lacks God. There is no form that is not God. Every man tries to search for God somewhere far away. The one sitting beside you is God as well. The one you see in front of you is God as well. The one walking behind you is God as well. All is God and God alone. But you do not see those around you as embodiments of God; you see them as human forms. Forget the form. Make the feeling of God firm. Believe, ‘Before me and behind me, wherever I look, what is there is God, the One alone.’ God Himself provides us with everything. So whatever work you do, regard it as God's work and offer it to God. If you do your actions in the spirit of offering them to God, all of them turn pure. First of all we must recognise the nature of our own mind. God is not somewhere far away.
