In plain words
Without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, all the learning one has mastered is worth nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, the merit of gifts and charity is nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, the fruit of holding high office is nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, the gain of a great many good deeds is nothing. To keep the mansion of our Sanātana Dharma standing, these four virtues, dear ones, are its foundation walls. What more than this could I make known to you, members of this gathering, honoured for your saintly virtues?
Embodiments of the divine Ātma!
Sanātana Dharma is the essence of all the wisdom of the Vedas. This Sanātana Dharma is the root of the philosophy of Bhārata, of its teaching on Dharma, and of its culture and traditions. Until one knows what has to be known, until one lets go of the responsibilities that have to be let go, until one reaches the goal that has to be reached, this life goes on without rest.
When what must be let go is let go, when what must be known is known, when what must be reached is reached, can anyone say what Ānanda then arises?
