In plain words

The body is made of the five elements; the body must fall, there is no escaping it ever; the indweller is free from every ill; reckon it well: for the indweller, death and birth and the stamps of delusion's bonds and fetters do not exist; look at the truth: that indweller is the God of gods; weigh it in your mind: He is the Ātma in form.

The body is like a Godrej cupboard. What have we taken it for? We keep precious jewels safely stored in a worthless iron safe. In it there are things of very great value. Satya itself is one great, precious jewel. Dharma is like another gold jewel, studded with diamonds. Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema: these are the most precious jewels in man. Śānti is utterly essential for every human being. Whichever millionaire you ask: ‘Swami, we have everything. But we have no Śānti,’ they say. Without Śānti we know no happiness. The fourth is Prema. Only when man develops these five can he become one who has given up every attachment. Who is a renouncer? Renunciation is precisely giving up the fruit of one's desires. Only through such renunciation does Śānti come. As long as there are desires, we cannot attain Śānti.

Without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, all the learning one has gained is worth nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, gifts and charities come to nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, the fruit of holding high office is nothing; without Satya, Dharma, Prema and Śānti, the gain of a host of good deeds is nothing. To keep this mansion of Sanātana Dharma standing, these four qualities are its foundation walls, my dear; what more than this can I make known? O members of this gathering, counted among the good and virtuous!

Every human being keeps within him the golden jewels called Satya, Dharma, Śānti and Prema. If you bring home an empty iron safe with no jewels in it and keep it in the house, it has no value at all. Only when you put precious jewels in it does that safe have any value too. An iron safe has value only when there are gold jewels inside it. Throw an empty iron safe anywhere you like, and no one will want it. In the same way, no one respects a person who cannot preserve the human values within him. So man's chief duty is this very thing: to preserve the jewels of the human values within him. Satya is something that never changes. It is eternal. Every human being knows what Satya is. But even knowing it, he lets it go. To escape from hardships, he resorts to untruth.

The second is Dharma. ‘There is no Dharma higher than Satya,’ they said. However big a building you put up, you must first lay its foundation.
