Passage 1

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

One may study every kind of learning and grow very discerning, and win a name in the world; one may be born a king of kings and rule a kingdom; one may give gifts of gold and of land; one may count the stars of the sky; one may name every kind of living creature; one may learn all the eight branches of learning; one may make the journey to the moon; but, reining in the body, the senses and the rest, steadying the mind and turning it within, abiding as the Ātma, ever unmoving, can men stand firm in that discipline?

Embodiments of Prema!

Through words one can earn wealth and riches, relatives and friends. Through words one can win even kingdoms. At times, through words, even death can come about. Man is unable to set words that hold so great a power on the right path. The great power, the high renown and the sacred Śānti that are in man are seen in no other being.
