In plain words

Give up selfishness and work for Satya and Dharma

Students! You are pursuing so many studies. But what use is it?

Though he studies all learning and grows very discerning, yet the dull man does not know himself in his heart; however much he studies, whatever his state may be, the lowly man does not give up bad qualities; sifting his studies over and over, he gains only argument, never does he attain full Jñāna …

Jñāna itself is the true strength of the people of Bhārata. That strength the people of Bhārata are destroying through selfishness. Today there are many highly educated people. But what good are they doing the world? Are they making any effort toward sacrifice? They are doing nothing. As long as we do not give up Selfishness, we cannot achieve any good at all. ‘Fish is better than selfish,’ it has been said. A fish, moving about in the water, eats the impurities in it and makes the water clean. But a selfish man, living in society, makes society foul. Do not labour for selfish ends. Be ready to sacrifice even your life for Satya and Dharma. Today many are afraid to tell the truth. One must be afraid to tell an untruth; why be afraid to tell the truth? Satya is free of fear. So, if you want to live free of fear, you must speak only the truth. You must take Prema as your life. You must regard Satya as your breath. Prema and Satya are very closely bound to each other. Man today: ‘Prema, Prema …’ he keeps saying, but what Prema is, he does not know.
