Passage 11

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

This is a feeling wholly for the good of others, a hundred per cent, and not a selfish feeling. The blind who have no eyes cannot see this clearly.

Having eyes they are blind; this auspicious form they could not behold. Having ears they are dull; this most enchanting word of Mine they could not hear. Though the Lord of Parti is in the pāḍi lotus, the wretched saṃsāra … While Mount Meru stands with a radiance that touches the sky, they go searching for silver and gold.

Truly this is nothing but misfortune. Recognise this truth step by step. All the work Sai does is for your sake alone. Precisely because there is no selfishness, Sai has no fear at all. Precisely because there is no selfishness, Sai is ever in Ānanda. Such Ānanda is itself the true form of God.

Eternal Ānanda, giver of the highest joy, the very form of pure Jñāna, beyond the pairs of opposites, like the sky, the goal of Tat tvam asi and the other sayings, one, eternal, stainless, unmoving, the witness of every mind, beyond all states, free of the three guṇas: this form.

I bring in all these for your sake alone; otherwise there is no guṇa in Me at all. There is no selfishness in Me at all. There is no worry in Me at all. Only when people try to carry out such sacred and selfless services in this world today will the whole world take this as an ideal in many ways and very soon bring the whole country to a right state; hoping that they will, and that they will rejoice, and blessing you, I bring My discourse to a close.
