Passage 2

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Man is a member of society. The root of all the evil practices in society today is nothing but man's bad qualities, wicked designs and evil thoughts. Their influence falls on every individual. The whole of creation is God through and through. All are pure of heart, every one. But a man's conduct keeps changing through the influence of his surroundings. The experiences we have depend on the path we follow. So we must join the good, lead a pure life and earn a good name. Fill your heart with feelings that are pure and divine. The Buddha taught: Dharmaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi. Satyaṃ śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi. All the actions you do must rest on Satya and Dharma. Even when you meet the wicked, you must try to see only the good in them. Do not take forms and names as your support. Keep in view the Ātma principle, which is without form. The Ātma is the embodiment of Ānanda.

Ever-blissful, the giver of supreme happiness, absolute, knowledge in form, beyond the pairs of opposites, like the sky, the goal of ‘Tat tvam asi’ and the rest, one, eternal, spotless, unmoving, the witness of every mind, beyond all states, free of the three guṇas ……
