In plain words

From Satya all things were created; in Satya the whole creation subsides. Where is the place without the glory of Satya, search as you may? This is pure sattva: come and see!

Students, embodiments of Prema! Teachers! Lovers of learning!

For every human being born on this earth, Satya is the God before his eyes. This whole world of the moving and the unmoving arises from Satya itself, lives in Satya itself, and merges in Satya itself. 'Satyaṃ jñānam anantaṃ brahma': Brahman is Satya itself. Satya is the infinite. This Brahman is given the name Ātma. The Vedāntins have been calling the eternal Brahman Satya. So what every single human being must honour is Satya alone. The people of Bhārata are vowed to Satya and devoted to Dharma. Jñāna alone is the home ground of the people of Bhārata. Every single human being is truly an heir to Satya and Dharma. Young women and young men of good heart, who long for Śānti, must make the effort that is needed to seek Satya and to practise Satya.

The good of the world alone is the cherished aim of the people of Bhārata. That is the vow of the young women and young men. That alone is our religion. Only because we put out of mind today this sacred Satya and this culture are we unable to achieve the unity of the people and the unity of the country. Satya and Dharma bow to nothing. The strength of arms, the strength of intellect, the strength of power and the strength of weapons too must bow to Satya and Dharma alone; Satya and Dharma bow to nothing. Victory always chooses Satya and Dharma alone.

What must stand foremost in human life is humanness. However much learning we master, however great the powers we wield, we must not forget humanness. The culture of Bhārata is beyond compare. It is most wonderful. Students today put out of mind that divine and splendid culture of Bhārata, and in this modern age, becoming nothing but a nursery for this modern culture, they keep forgetting their own divinity. Today the great wind of technical science and industry, developing at a tremendous pace, has been bringing changes of many kinds into society.
