In plain words

Students! What was taught through all these thirteen days is a sea of nectar: the sacred essence of Vedānta, churned out of the authorities of all the śāstras, the Itihāsas and the Purāṇas, and handed to you. In the future you are the ones who will raise up the Bhārata to come. You yourselves will be the Leaders Pleaders of the future. You must offer an ideal life. You must enter the path of Satya. We must practise Dharma. Dharmo rakṣati rakṣitaḥ. When we protect Dharma, Dharma protects us. In no circumstances at all must you transgress these. You may think that you will study with worldly learning. Along with that learning we must add these as well. All these are branches of learning practised and studied for a livelihood, outward and worldly. But we must not forget the Ātma that is the basis of all of them. So we must believe in the feeling of the Ātma and practise the Dharma that is fit to be practised. Here too the Veda has taught both, the forbidden Dharma and the enjoined Dharma. What must be given up. What must be taken up. But unhappily, today people are taking up what must be given up. They are giving up what must be taken up. This is the great Ajñāna. However hard we toil to earn it, … we must give up what must be given up. A small example. You went to the market. You paid five rupees and bought a big mango. This is a mango fruit bought with money. You gave it the value of five rupees. So will you eat its skin and its stone too? No. No. You must take only its juice and throw away its skin and its stone. In this fruit called the world we must give up what must be given up. We must take up what must be taken up. That is what I have told you so many times.

See no evil see what is good. Hear no evil hear what is good. Talk no evil talk what is good. Think no evil think what is good Do no evil do what is good. This is the way of life.

This we must keep in proper view. Do not listen to evil. Do not look at evil. Do not speak evil.
