Passage 5

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

That itself is the form of Prema. So today, through losing Prema alone, we are becoming people who have lost everything. So today we must grow Prema alone. When Prema joins speech, it becomes ‘Satya’. When this Prema joins our thinking, that very Prema becomes ‘Śānti’. That is why through this Prema alone we can gain all three, Satya, Dharma and Śānti.

Mā kuru dhana jana yauvana garvaṃ …

Embodiments of Prema! We toil for this passing, worldly life. It breaks in a moment. All this goes in a single moment. This youth is going in a single moment. ‘Mā kuru dhana jana yauvana garvaṃ, harati nimeṣāt kālaḥ sarvaṃ’. Youth is something that goes in a single moment. Wealth is something that goes in a single moment. Fame is something that goes in a single moment. All these are passing clouds. Nothing is permanent. But one thing alone is permanent. That alone is Satya: fame is lasting, lasting. We must earn a good name. With that very good name we must earn our fame. How does a good name come to us. Speak good. With your ears hear only good. With your hands do only good deeds. Fill your heart with good thoughts alone. Everything turns good.

See no evil, see what is good, Talk no evil, talk what is good Hear no evil, hear what is good Think no evil, think what is good Do no evil, do what is good This is the way to GOD.

So when we wish to attain divinity, if there are evil words, evil hearing, evil thoughts and evil deeds like this, when will good come within your reach?
