Passage 13

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

Only when we follow it do we enter on what is right. In everything, our own Buddhi bears testimony for us. Only when our Buddhi is pure, spotless, unmoving and selfless need we fear nothing. Where does fear come from? Fear comes only when there is a fault. Where there is no fault, there is no room for fear. Whatever work you do, regard it as God's work. Not my work, not your work. All are God's children! You must be a trustee of God's power! It must not be misused in the least. We must put this body to good use. We must put our words to good use. Where is the path to this divinity?

See no evil, see what is good, Talk no evil, talk what is good Hear no evil, hear what is good Think no evil, think what is good Do no evil, do what is good This is the way to GOD.

To follow a path to God that is this easy, doing some tapas or other, doing dhyāna, doing yoga: all of it is only a waste of time! Above all, one must think, ‘How should I help my fellow man?’

He who has compassion is a man

Embodiments of Prema! What does help mean? A small example. All of you come by bus. You come by train. You come in some other vehicles. But while coming by train, or while coming by bus, how is one to help? In that bus old people or women will be standing, unable to get a seat. At such a time, get up from your seat and give that seat to them. There will be little children. They will be without a seat. Give them your seat; get up yourself and stand! You can give any number of such kinds of help. This is the service the young should truly be doing in life today.
