Passage 11

Tap any word for its meaning.

In plain words

In the Mukkoṭi Ekādaśī spoken of then, the three crore people too were gods! Every human being is an embodiment of God! In those days they chanted the mantra with a sacred, broad feeling. Today people practise it in ignorance. No, no. There is only one thing to recognise! Every human being is an embodiment of God. The heart in everyone is one! This hṛdaya is hṛt + daya: sacred compassion. In English, all human beings are called mankind. Mankind means that man is one who is endowed with kindness. Today there is no kindness in man. So he should not be called mankind. Everything has an inner meaning. We must take the inner meaning, not the outer one. If this mike stands here, its support is the table. The support of this table is the earth. One is the support, the other is the supported. Today we forget the support and follow the supported.

Before the strength of God no other strength works

Embodiments of Prema! Every year a new year comes and the old year goes. But new feelings, sacred feelings, do not come into us. These old feelings, these foul feelings, do not leave. These foul, old feelings must be sent out. New, inspiring, divine, splendid, fresh feelings must be taken into the heart. Today people are not developing purity at all. However many such years go by, what is the gain? Time waste is life waste. Time is GOD. Don’t waste time. We must not defile this sacred time, or our speech, with useless words. We must not make our speech impure by speaking ill of others. We must not make ourselves impure through what we hear. We must experience everything with purified senses. In keeping with this:

See no evil, see what is good, Talk no evil, talk what is good Hear no evil, hear what is good Think no evil, think what is good Do no evil, do what is good This is the way to GOD.
