In plain words
Because of an ignorance that has no fear of sin, because of that which has no love of God, humanness has sunk away in men; this itself is the upheaval of the peace of the world.
Today there are many obstacles to peace in the world. We have lost the fear of sin, the love of God and social morality. There is no fear of sin at all. That very thing is turning today into fearlessness. Dread of sin and hatred of God are growing. This will not do. It is only because we forget God today that so many hardships come to us. Right from time without beginning, the land of Bhārata, drawing its life from faith in God alone, has been offering an ideal life to many countries. How is it that today, in such a divine and noble land of Bhārata, we are losing faith in God? How is it that we are forgetting the culture of Bhārata? We must not forget it. The land of Bhārata is one that is joined with Satya. It is one that is joined with Dharma. The people of Bhārata are vowed to Satya. They are devoted to Dharma. Justice itself is their home. This is the tradition of every Bhāratīya. You must be heirs to it. You must nourish it. Only then can you once again enjoy a new Bhārata. You can rejoice in it.
Divine Embodiments of Prema! Within humanness there are many disturbances. But we must set … right. All are children of God. Between brothers, many kinds of problems keep arising. But they must come to terms with one another and make the effort it needs to keep the bond safe. We must not have hatred towards anyone. 'Īśāvāsyamidaṃ sarvamē, vāsudēva sarvamidaṃ'. However many bulbs there may be, the current is one. However many sweets are made …, the sugar is one. However many ornaments are made, the gold is one. We must not foster the many that is in this oneness. Only when we foster the oneness that is in the many and experience divinity will this sacred land of Bhārata stay a green festoon of unending festivity, bright with merry laughter. Born in such a land, known in such a land as Bhāratīyas, if we forget the culture of Bhārata today, that can truly be called our misfortune. So, however much the government does, the government goes on doing it … according to its own capacity. We must not depend on the government alone for everything. The people's co-operation too is essential. This is a garland: it has become a garland only because many flowers are joined in it.
