Passage 15

In plain words

He becomes a stranger. God is no stranger to us. He is an old acquaintance. We have been seeing Him for many births. You must take God as an old friend. You should not take Him as a new friend. If it is a new friend, what do we do? You can think of it in daily life. Saying, ‘Come, please come in, sit down’, we set out chairs and mats. We show them every courtesy. But, that same old friend. ‘Hey, come here! Sit down! Stand up!’ we keep saying. So by describing God we are making Him a stranger to us. He is not a new friend, old friend. Old is gold. He alone is ‘GOD’. We must understand that divinity well. The devotee keeps making many descriptions. With all these he only means to melt His mind. God does not melt for us with descriptions like these; He melts with Prema alone.

In deserts empty of Prema for shoots of Prema to grow, with the rush of Prema, a rain of Prema's nectar to pour, and rivers of Prema to flow, play Your flute and sing, O Kṛṣṇa, sing!

Everything is with Prema itself. We must send the bad qualities in us out with Prema alone. The seeds we must sow, we must sow as seeds of Prema. Then the very rain of Prema will fall. The very harvest of Prema will ripen. Everything that came with Prema turns into Prema itself.

Each of you is the embodiment of Prema: so you are God

Embodiments of Prema! All of you are embodiments of Prema. Though there be nothing else in anyone, there is Prema alone. There is not one person here who could say there is no Prema. Search the whole world, and no one can say there is no Prema. Even if we have no love for anything else, we have love for money.
