Passage 7

In plain words

That is why no obstacle of any kind can get in the way of our vision of Prema. Prema itself is the chief life-breath of man. Where Prema itself is absent, a mother does not love even her child. A husband does not love even his wife. Nor does any friend love another friend. Nor does any jīva love God. That is why Prema alone turns the jīva into God. So Prema alone is the life-breath that turns humanness into divinity. But within man's heart Prema has come to a halt as a narrow Prema. So at times hatred, the thing called hatred, comes into this heart. The heart is like a single sofa. If Prema sits there, there is no room for another to sit. Hatred has no way at all to enter there. Envy has no way whatever to enter. This is not a musical chair, single sofa, single sofa. In it God alone must sit. Only when He sits there does it turn into a sacred and broad heart. So because man today cannot understand this kind of Prema principle and cannot give it entry into his heart, his whole heart falls prey to unrest of many kinds.

The Prema principle alone is the root of Śānti

So how did all the Gopīs of that time keep praying? They kept praying to the Prema principle.

In deserts empty of Prema, so that the shoots of Prema may grow, with a surge of Prema, a shower of Prema's nectar pouring down, and rivers of Prema flowing, play the song of Your flute, O Kṛṣṇa, play Your song!

This rain of Prema must fall through the song of Your flute alone. Through this rain of Prema alone the plants of Prema must bear their crop.
