Passage 7

In plain words

How does this Prakṛti that we love appear to us? It appears in many forms. Though the forms differ, the Divinity in them all is one alone! You must not hope for God to appear before you in some special form. Wherever you go, whatever you see, all of it is God! With such Prema you must try to see God everywhere. Then all is filled with Prema! To want to experience Divinity without developing Prema is a great mistake.

In deserts empty of Prema, so that the shoots of Prema may grow, with the fervour of Prema... so that a rain of the nectar of Prema may pour, so that rivers of Prema may flow, will You not make music on the flute! Kṛṣṇa! Will You not make music!

So the Gopīs went on praying to Kṛṣṇa. All of you are drops of the nectar of Prema! Many drops come together and form a stream. In the end it merges in the ocean. But man today does not understand what Prema is. If he likes some object, he thinks that is Prema. That is liking, not Prema. When liking comes, dislike too comes right beside it. But where there is Prema, there is nothing else opposed to it. Prema never changes. Such a principle of Prema is Divinity itself. Beyond this, however many ways you describe it, all those descriptions are only your delusions, not the form of Satya. “Ekaṃ nityaṃ vimalaṃ acalaṃ sarvadhī sākṣībhūtaṃ bhāvātītaṃ triguṇarahitaṃ”: that is the principle of God. That is the principle of Prema. Such Prema cannot be described in a worldly way. It is madness to think of Prema in a worldly way. There is no other word at all equal to Prema. To please ourselves we give it many names, but none of them is Satya.
